    New Walther P22's any good?

So I really wanted a Ruger SR22, but they have been off roster for some time now, and I am not going to pay $450-$600 in the used marketplace for one. Turner's has the Walther P22 on sale for $299, (so ~$354 OTD). Are these good little pistols? I had a 2010 P22 and sold it.....never any troubles with it, but I understand they went through a minor redesign a couple of years ago. What say you newer P22 owners????

I have the older P-22, and while it has always been a good shooter, I have a lot of slide wear from the sharp edges of the trigger dis-connect bar cutting it. The new model has had the edges rounded off, so I've read, and has a beefier slide, because some of the older ones cracked. I have an M&P 22, and the P-22 hardly sees any use. For a full rundown of all the P-22's issues past and present, look up the Walther Forum at Rim Fire Central.

I have both a Walther P22 and Ruger SR22. They both shoot and eat equally. If I can only take one to the range its the walther because it functions just as good as ruger but feels much better in your hand.
