Remington Yellow Jacket Target Rifle .22lr

Just saw an ad for this rifle today and it caught my attention. After a quick Google search I couldn't find much info on it other than its a 20" barrel meant for target shooting.

Anybody have some info on it? Good? Mediocre? Reliable?

The only Remington Yellow Jacket I'm aware of is ammunition. It's a new one on me.

      It's a m597 in a pretty package.

But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself...A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague."......Cicero

At that price, I would give it a try. Too bad I can't order one online.

I'd give $400 not to have to look at that stock. Looks like a bumblebee from Star Wars.

I've run the for speed competitions before. In my experience they function as well as a 10/22, have better sights, and are less picky about ammo. Obviously they aren't as easily customizable as a 10/22, but the remington is an awesome little rifle.
