    S&W 41

It appears the Smith & Wesson 41 is not on the list of approved guns by California. Does anyone know if this gun can be SSE?

    Thanks for any info.

41 is in a class by itself needs no SSE. Can be sold no problem. Pete

I believe it is in the Olympic Target Pistol type of exemption. IIRC....or something like that. c good

It's roster and AWB exempt, so no SSE and you can install a threaded barrel.

Threaded barrel? I actually believe you due to your conviction in the statement. But I thought all threaded barrels on handguns were considered a big "NO"! AWB restrictions and stuff....What say everyone on this? Thanks for input as always. c good

It seems like every time I see a Smith 41 on the line, they take home a trophy. Almost wish I'd bought one of those over my High Standard.

The S&W 41 is on the Olympic Pistol exemption list in both 22 LR and 22 Short.

The Model 41 is listed on page 4...

ETA: Theaded barrels on semi-auto pistols are generally a no-go. They're OK on revolvers, and on pistols in the above linked list.

                      I've never seen a threaded barrel for a M41.
                      Who makes one?
