    Cabalas has .22LR

Was in Cabalas in Phoenix Monday evening and they had about 50 box's of CCI 40 gr .22LR in the 50 round boxes for $4.99 with a 2 box limit. Went back Tuesday morning and I was the first one thru the door when they opened at 9:00 and low and behold they were fully stocked with .22LR. Had at least 200 of the 50 round boxes, three different brands of the 500 round boxes, CCI, Norma and Remington plus ammo cans with 2100 round's of Federal 36 grain
.22LR for $110.00 which was four 525 round box's. .19 cents a round is still high but it's better then not available at all. The ammo cans were gone in 30 minutes. Limit of one per person, same with the 500 round boxes. All other ammo was fully stocked. No pistol powder and very little rifle powder though.

      Common core math.

I'd say give it another 6 months, and the availability of .22 lr should get back to at least reasonable.

The going price on the flipper market is already getting too low to make it worth while for most, and the ammo stock pilers/prepared/hoarders have over spent their gun budget for a long time. Some have all the ammo they will ever need and aren't buying more. Things will get better.

Let me see...$110 divided by 2100 rounds = .05 per round. Not bad.

Walked into a local Walmart yesterday to return something. I decided to check out their ammo stock, in hopes of finding aluminum 9mm, since my RIA loves that ammo. Ended up walking out with 500 rounds of .22...this was at 11/noon. Here's to hoping this .22 "shortage" remedies itself soon.

Generally speaking, anywhere from $20-$30/500 rounds

OK. So are these 50ct boxes of CCI 40gr a higher end round or just a way to fool people into buying standard MiniMags for $10/100? As I understand it .10/rd isn't bad for SV match quality rounds.

Yeah, the stores here in Utah, Cabelas, Scheels have had .22 for a few weeks now.. For example, The CCI standard velocity for 4.99 50 rounds..

Maybe the national shortage is coming to an end....
