Well its everyone's favorite 22LR ammo hoarder again. I have been asked by alot of you guys here on the CG site how the hell have I been able to pick up and hoard so much 22LR ammo. Well awhile back I told you all I would do a post on how its done. I havent done it because the old way I did it was so involved I just did not have it in me to do it that way. But the way I have been finding it latley has made it so much easier. So I figure I might as well devulge my secrets. Well I use the Brassbadger website and so do all the other 22LR hoarders and flippers. THATS IT!!!!!!
Step 1: Go to www.brassbadger.com and go all the way to the left of the page and scroll to the bottom. Click on "Change Zipcode" A small window will appear. Enter your zipcode and hit "Ok

Step 2: After you change your zip code the stores will change in your Stores near section. Leave all the stores checked in this section that you want brassbadger to search. Now still staying on the left side of the screen go up to the type of ammo you want to search section. There are 5 section but only 4 sections are for searching for ammo. For our purposes here go to the "RIMFIRE" Section and click on ".22 LR" (NOTE: the colored button next to your selection is color coded. If it is Green then there is a GOOD chance that there is ammo of that type at one of the stores you have selected to search.)

"WHAT DO THE COLOR CODES MEAN"
If the store you live closes to is red then dont even bother you more then likely will not find any ammo at that store. When I say more then likely I really mean you WONT find any there. Orange means there will be some there but like ONE case of it at best. Green is where you need to be. BUT even that has its exeptions.
If you look here you will see (in green) that Remington 225ct boxes are shown in stock at the Alicia Pkway Laguna Niguel Walmart store and also at the Talbert Ave Huntington Beach store. BUT the listing for the Huntington Beach store shows "In stock for the past 4 days (was Out of stock). This to me tells me that even tho this is showing as "green" there is NOT 22 ammo there. BUT if you see the Remington at the Alicia Pkway Laguna Niguel Walmart store "In stock for the past 1 hr (was Out of stock). This to me means that there is a STRONG possibility that there will be ammo at this store in the MORNING!!!! Yes I said in the morning!!!!!! From what I have been told by the different department managers at the Walmart stores Ammo is not to be taken out of the back room untill the Sporting Goods Department Manager comes in and brings it out and stocks it on the shelf. So when if it comes off the truck at 7:00PM it is not "SUPPOSED" to be put on the shelf till the next morning by the Department manager "SUPPOSEDLY". Some 24 hour Walmarts will still put it out on the floor when it comes in, but they are not supposed to. Also on Saturdays but almost always on Sundays the department manager does not come to work. In these cases you can usually get someone to help you and drag it out of the back but sometimes even that is a chore. Morning Sporting Goods Department Managers for the most part come in and clock in at 0700 but will take their time to get to pulling the 22 out of the back room. There are times I have been waiting till 0900 to get my ammo. this brings up step 3 "waiting"
Step 3: "Waiting" the hardest part of this whole thing. Most of the Walmart stores that are not 24 hours open at 0600. BUT dont get to the store at 0545 in hopes of getting 22 you wont. You will need to show up at least 30-45 minutes early. And again you will be waiting in the Sporting Good Department till atleast 0730. So get there before the vultures/flipper and hoarders get there.
Most Walmarts have a 3 box rule a day. The one down the road from me has a one box of 22LR a day but if you want to buy anything else like 9mm or 556 you can bet 3 boxes of that. If you dont like Flippers then you might best stay away from the Walmarts because you will see them at 0530 in front of the Walmart and they will have atleast 1-2 more people with them buying for them. I have even been asked how much I was going to buy and if I could get them a box or two. Well thats about it hope this helps you all find the ammo you are looking for. have any questions ask.
