Help with my Sig Hammerli Trailside

I have had this pistol for quite a while and as it has always been my workhorse for training others. Last week when I was out I was unable to use the safety. It is stuck in the fire position and I am unable to make it move. Does anyone have any experience with this? How should I go about fixing this?
Any advise is greatly appreciated.
