Normal TriggerPull on Ruger 10/22 and Ruger Standard

I just did some minor refurbishing on a mid seventies Ruger Standard pistol and a 10/22 from the same time. They'd been forgotten in storage since the late eighties. The pistol has a pull weight avg of 2.7lbs over 5 pulls. The 10/22 avgs. 4.0lbs over 5 pulls. Is this normal/safe for these weapons? Seems light to me, but I'm using a cheaper Wheeler manual gauge.

A light trigger pull is OK as long as it passes the "bump" test. The 2, 10/22's I have have 4-5 pound triggers, but my CZ's that I shoot from the bench range from 4-10 ounces, and yes, they pass the bump test.

Should be fine, my 10/22 was at 5lbs and with the Kidd upgrade it's now 1.3lbs.

The older 10/22's have better stock triggers than the new ones. So yours at 4lbs is normal. Enjoy it!
