Cabelas Rimfire scopes, experiences?

Looking at picking up a Cabelas caliber specific rimfire scope, and was wondering if anyone here has experience with them.

I do like that one, no experience though. I remember seeing a Nikon pro rimfire discounted to like $129 one time that a lot of folks got excited over.

I have one mounted on top of a Ruger M77 17HMR, great little scope.
Holds zero well, seems well built, have maybe 3k rounds through it.

Thanks for the input, I assume you have the 17 HMR reticle model. How do the hold over points work and what range do you zero the scope for the holdover points to work?

Yes, I do have the 17HMR model scope.

I re-zero depending upon where or what I shooting at, I try to zero at either 75 or 100 yards.

The hold over points are sort of hit or miss, not that they don't work, just to much variation in the brand of ammo.

When I was able to purchase and shoot a specific brand, and stay with that weight and manufacture, the hold over works great.

Guess I answered my own question, find the "sweet" brand and stick with it, switch brands, shoot a lot of it and figure our how much you need to compensate for it.

I bought a .22 rimfire scope from Cableas, I even bought the life time warranty. The biggest mistake I've made. Cableas will not honour the warranty. I will never shop at Cabelas ever again.

Save yourself some time and go with a cheaper model Nikon. I just picked up a used Prostaff in great condition for $80 shipped.
That said, I've never had experience with Cabelas' scopes. I'm not a big fan of rimfire specific scopes. I prefer knowing that I can take it off my .22 and toss it on a centerfire without any issues.

I have the .22 model. Got it on sale and for the money been happy with it. The holdover works great and was hitting varmits fine.
