    Buckmark Camper (UFX) barrel

Fricken Allen screw on the barrel removal point is stuck as hell. I've sprayed it with CLP and it rested over night. I've twisted the hell out of my allen wrench.

I have a SAE torx set coming (all I have is metric), I figure tomorrow when it comes I will heat up the Torx to see if it all breaks loose and see what happens. Anyone have any other ideas?

While CLP is good stuff for cleaning I would suggest using some penetrating oil like Break Free. Most of the penetrating oils are very thin and can get down into the threads to loosen things up. Let is sit for several hours and then try to loosen the screw. Try in numerous times. Last thing you want to do is strip the head on that screw.

Got the barrel off and the new one on, and while installing the slide spring into the retention thingamabobber I fired the plastic widget off into outer space. I have no idea where that sob went. Time to order about 100 of these things because I'm sure to do it again.

Heating the 7/64 allen wrench did the trick.

Hopefully you know that a torx head and an allen head are 2 completely different things?
