    Marlin Model 60 Feed Throat

I've have two of the model 60 feed throat conversions on back order from Brownells for the last six months. Is there anywhere else to get the damn thing?

    Did you check Midway?

Over on the Marlinowners forum would be your best bet to ask. Heres a link to a guy that did the conversion over there. Some p[people claim you also need to update the Bolt to the newer style. I am not sure if this is true or not. Alot of good info over on Marlinowners if you go there and search for posts concerning the conversion.. Good Luck
I'm going to install a new style feed throat in my '76 model 60. I watched several videos and read a few threads and thought I had all the bases covered. I ordered a new throat and cartridge lifter. I'll grind the extra post off the new throat, etc. I ordered the parts individually before...

Numrich has them in stock right now ~$30

The thing with firearms is that they are not like any other consumer product, simple ownership of one carries a lot of responsibility.

Thanks easy! Ordered two of them today. I've been distracted with another project and forgot to check back to this thread.

What are the benefits of installing this part?

Installing the new style, one piece, feed throat corrects feeding and jamming problems. The older style two piece wears over time and spreads causing the listed fails.

One caution on doing the conversion. You may or may not run into Bolt problems. There is a possibility you may have to get a newer Bolt too.

I have heard some have had to. If you run into problems, come over to the rimfire section on the Marlin Owner Forum..Good Luck
