    Ruger SR22

    Undertech CCW tanktop

full size 1911 was too heavy and grip was sticking too far out.

Perfect as a Ruger SR22 backup until I can buy a 9mm Shield

The gun is under your left arm, correct? Basically an elastic girdle with a built-in holster by the ribs? How's the draw?

yes. i have to cross draw

i have to reach pretty far back which is a bit awkward at first.

it is an elastic girdle and it has a snap on strap to go over the grip so it doesnt fall out

so i have to unclip the strap with my left hand and draw.

i have 2 kids so im always going to be bending over which is why i have this option.

My IWB holsters don't have straps and I've never had one even come close to falling out. That's not to say that retention shouldn't be an option. A good holster can make all the difference though, and with holsters, "you get what you pay for" is almost always true.
