I'm interested in picking up CZ 455 american in 22lr in Walnut. I know I can order one online but would rather purchase one locally (so I can inspect the wood stock). Anyone seen one of these in a shop here in SoCal/LA area?

They pop up often at the Turner's in San Diego once in a while. Maybe your local Turner's has one or can transfer one in. -
The only American I saw at a Turners had a Birch stock.sigpic

Bought one a few months ago in turners at Reseda. 455 American 22 inch bull barrel. I havent seen one since.Comment

You folks are finding some rare CZ's at Turners. The American normally comes in walnut stocks, and the Varmints are the only ones with a bull (.866) barrel.Comment

I finally saw the CZ-455 Varmint at the Pasadena turners. beautiful gun! Would of jumped on it but they had it listed at $499. That is more than what the manufacturer lists as the MSRP ($469). I'll just get it through Gallery of Guns. $419 for Varmint and $376 for the American.Comment

kygunco has them for ~$370. I bought a gun from them awhile ago.
FFL charged $50+25DROS. Have to add ca sales tax also.
So, if you can not find one local, this maybe an option.
Good news: free shipping. Bad news, slow to ship. Figure about a week for them to get it out the door+ transit time.Comment

I got mine from a guy on CG, but we did the transfer here, and they were really cool guys. And I went on their website and they had a bunch of CZ's in stock. Or as they say: "in the warehouse". It appears that they currently have the American in walnut, and the varmint in walnut, even the 455 FS in walnut... $382.99 for the american walnut.
I got the varmint evolution from a guy.. I love the bull barrel. From one geoguy to another - good luck!Comment
