    Skinner sight on Henry H001

    Greetings all,

Does anyone have experience with the Skinner sights on a Henry 22? http://www.skinnersights.com/henry_rifles_18.html

The factory rear sight is a little wide for accurate shooting (at least by me).

I was thinking about getting the sight that fits in the dovetail slot not the receiver mounted one.

If you have installed one did you need a new front sight post?

    Thanks

      .
You may also contact Andy at Skinner sights via email and ask him directly.

I did just that regarding a Skinner peep for the CZ 527 action. He got back to me right away.

I too am interested now in a similar setup for my Henry lever, in this case the H001M. Thanks for your post!

      :-)

I used dovetail Skinner sights on my 10/22 take down. I lost the front sight and Skinner sent me one free of charge.

Looks like they are good to go. The brass on the golden boy looks sweet!

                Thank you!

                  update

received my Skinner sights. They where easy to install. I even lucked out and the gun was zeroed in for windage with out needing adjustment. No need to change front sight. Awesome improvement to a cool little rifle.

The receiver mounted one will give a better sight radius which will improve accuracy. That is why a lot of folks like the CZ Ultra Lux (28 inch barrel) over the rest of the CZ's
