Heritage Rough Rider as a plinker?

I was tempted last time Turners had them for $129.00. Anyone have one? What is your feedback on the this pistol as a fun plinker? Is it accurate at all? Is it reliable? Where are they built?

That's a great price and yes they are accurate.

mine's pretty accurate. i can hit clays set up around 25 yards with little effort. its a typical SA shooter. slow loading, slow shooting. its a relaxing gun to shoot unless you like to rapid fire. its been reliable for the 250 or so rounds i've shot. and i shoot all kids of crap through my 22lr revolvers and bolts. its good to go, especially for the price. can't recall off hand where they're made, but a simple good search should show it for you.
      I don't own any guns...they're dangerous.

Made in USA I believe, not a Ruger, or S&W but a good plinker and knock around gun at fair price. Try to get the steel frame like mine if you can though for durability.

^^^ I have had about the same experience as above and like aghauler said, it is not a S&W or Ruger, fit and finish is rough. I think mine was $159 or $169 a couple years ago but it came with an extra cylinder chambered in .22 mag.

I like it for the price!

For under $200 it is a good value plinker. I have one in 22LR/22WMR with a birds head grip and ZAMAK frame. My Ruger Single Six stays in the safe for now, my son and I are shooting the grips off this one first They are made in the USA. They only have a one year warranty but I have heard stories of Heritage being generous and taking care of problems with older guns.

I have the little bit shorter barrel version I bought for my son...at least that's what I told my wife. It's pretty fun to shoot, fairly accurate. I hate the safety but at a few hundred cheaper than a single six or bearcat it's a nice gun.

I want the one that holds like 9 or 10. I don't think it has the mag cyl though

I have the '70s version, named Kimel, very close to the revolver made today. They were sold under several names, and the Heritage C/S person I e-mailed told me their company used to be Kimel. I don't think they actually make it themselves. They are serviceable guns for the money, but I would rather spend the extra up front for a Ruger. My '60s Single Six Convertible is family heirloom material, couldn't say the same for my Kimel.

I have the 4" version. Not sure you can beat it for the price. It shoots any ammo. A dot of paint on the front sight helps. Fun plinker. My kids and family love shooting it too. I bought it on a whim and paid $190 for mine .. way too much. Everyone else seems to find them at $130-$150. Unless you already have some pricey .22 revolvers already, this is a great addition.
