What 22LR revolvers are folks getting in CA? The ones I see currently on the roster are all in the $500+ range; very pricey for a little .22!

22LR Revolver on the CA Roster

The Taurus M94 is on the roster. I had one and paid $339 for mine, but have seen them go for $299 on sale at Turners. Good revolver, and worth the $300-$350 price, but it is no S&W 617, that's for sure. Very heavy DA trigger, but decent in SA. Very accurate."Bye Felicia!" - Said by me, as I looked at Kalfornia in my rearview for the last time, 9/22/17.

If azzholes could fly, this place would be an airport!
I support gun control.....if there's a gun around, I want to be in control of it!
You go ahead and give peace a chance. I'll cover you if it doesn't work out! -
Usually, you get what you pay for. Usually...sigpic

You can get Ruger Single Actions since they are exempt. The Bearcat too. Since the roster is not in play, you can shop sites like Gunbroker for a nice old model three screw Single Six.
Same 500 price range though and slow to load and unload. On the other hand, you won't blow though hard to find 22LR either.Comment

Whoa.... hadn't checked out the list in a while. S&W 617 4" is on, but not the 6" ??? Makes no sense as usual.
The 617 is the way to go IMHO... Yes, it's expensive, but the quality is evident. It's a solid chunk of metal.
In reality, it's massively overbuilt for a .22LR. It does make a great companion to my 686... same weight and feel.

If you are looking for DA the pick'en are slim on the Cali roster. I just bought a
SP101 .22lr. OTD ~$660.00. Smiths are good, but very hard to find, so expect to a pay top $$$. Other options are Ruger LCRs, but kinda a specality usage gun. If you change calibers, there are actually more options, like me, I assume you do not want to do.
Best of luck in your search. As a side note, this is my first wheel gun. Shoots any ammo that my simi's won't.Comment
