My box of 5000 back ordered from Midway back in November just arrived. I almost didn't remember what it was like to receive more than one brick at a time.

If you are willing to hunt incessantly you can still find .22 regularly. I admit I spend way too much time online looking for ammo, but I've been able to scoop up several thousand rounds every month. I've already received more than 5k this month and have more in transit just to keep up with our shooting.

I got my girlfriend and her 5 kids into shooting last year, and a few are now competing in rimfire shoots with me so we burn through 3k+ rounds per month without effort. It's pretty cool to have everyone into shooting, except I'm starting to feel like that Dave Chapelle druggie character he does:
[sniff, sniff, wipes nose, scratches under chin and behind neck]
"Hey buddy, you got some .22?"
      [body twitching...]
I voted against Obama before it was cool.

The full length dust cover rail makes a world of difference in the "when I run out of bullets I'm going to beat you to death with the pistol" look that causes bad guys to run in fear, and lesser men to feel inadequate. It looks just plain beastly and the extra heft up front does help manage recoil a bit better. Plus, an angel told me that when God called JMB to heaven it was to build him a full rail 1911!
