    17 caliber spotting scopes?

Question: when you folks started shooting 17 caliber rifles, did you have any difficulty resolving those tiny holes in your paper targets at 100 yards? What say you? Thanks...

PS: did you have to upgrade your spotting scopes?

At 100yds with shoot-n-see targets, not a problem with 20-30X scope.
I tried 200 yds and even with shoot-n-see targets and 60x scope could not see the holes. If you can (depending on what range you are shoot at) painted steel targets work well. Leave at least a 1/2" mark with .17HMR and easy to see. Use quick dry paint to cover the marks.

When shooting my .17hmr I found ground squirrels made
the best targets,= fall over scores a hit, still standing scores a miss.
No need for a high power spotting scope
The best part of hunting and fishing was the thinking about going and the talking about it after you got back

I use an older Bushnell 60x "Spacemaster". if I use a dark backer under my targets I can see the holes at 200 yds.
