    Compact scope for 10/22 takedown?

    Hi all,

I just DROSed a 10/22 takedown, and am looking for a compact scope that will be small enough to remain mounted on the receiver end of the gun when the gun is taken apart and stowed in the bag. Does such an animal exist? Prefer a scope with magnification, not just a red dot
    "Two dead?!? HOW?!?"
[sigh] "Bullets, mortar fire, heavy artillery salvos, terminal syphilis, bad luck --- the usual things, Captain."

Simmons has a pretty good deal going on now.
After watching WTC Bldg #7 being razed, and considering it's main occupants..

I stumbled onto this note while checking advanced weapons..
"911 = false flag. WTC 7 was brought down by demolition. 47 floors came down in 6 1/2 seconds - not hit by a plane. Just one of hundreds of absurdities that occurred that day. Wake up".

I put a UTG 3-9x32 Compact CQB Bug Buster Rifle Scope on mine. The whole rig still fits in the bag. I think I paid ~$85 for the it. If you want to go with another scope, need to stay below 11" long, 10" would be better. That will normally be about 6X mag.

I'm assuming that since it's a takedown, it won't be used much for bench work. If that's the case, you can get a great deal on Simmons scopes by following this thread:

I see burris fullfield 2-7x for about 30 more than leapers bug buster and its much nicer, and if you have to deal with leapers warranty they are dicks.

I put a Leupold VX-1 Rimfire 2-7x on mine, and it works well!

UTG Bug Buster fits, I ended up with a Primary Arms Micro RDS because I switched out the stock with a folding one and it was a little more tacticool looking....lol
