2nd Marlin 795

I just bought my second Marlin 795 Turners is having them on sale right now for $149. The deal is from July 11-17 http://www.turners.com/info/weekly-ad

They also have deals on Rugers. However I am a Marlin guy and with plenty of magazines on hand , I figured I needed another Marlin. Plus it sucks not having two .22's , especially when you take the younger ones out to shoot and everyone is waiting for the their turn :P

Go get them! I haven't seen them this cheap since I bought the first one from turners for $119! I miss that deal but at $149 , that is still a great deal.

update: The new Marlin is home I got the tech sights and some cheapy sling to go with it. I also updated my scoped marlin with a bi-pod, cheek riser, and sling. Still looking to change out the scoped marlin's stock with the boyds tacticool.

The 795 is an awesome gun! I haven't been able to locate any mags on the cheap though. Do you have a resource for decently priced 10rnd mags?

Truthfully I got them for around 12 to 13 bucks. I bit the bullet and bought 4 last year. With the two that came with both Marlins, thats a total of 6. I guess each rifle will carry 3 mags a piece. Having bought the mags last year and the familiarity and love for the Marlin is what prompted me to purchase a second.

They are $20 on Midway, but always in stock.

I try to avoid buying off CTD out of principle. I think all the Marlin clipazines I have are from adding stuff to my order to get some perk for spending greater than $xxx

It sucks spending so much money on some folded sheet metal, a spring, and a plastic plug, but I figure I've spent $20 in many worse ways (especially one dollar at a time)

Another site to watch is CDNN. Every so often they'll put up a sale for $9.99 and free shipping! Haven't seen it pop up since last year though. I've also scored Ruger 22/45 mags and see deals for 10/22 mags often.

eta: Ooo dang, looks like stock is low. That's crazy cause they've been available for a few months straight from those two.

Also, good choice OP. Is that a Nikon prostaff on your first 795? I have a couple 795's too and I have that scope (4x fixed standard reticle) but haven't mounted it yet.

Yes, stock is low. I'm looking to get a few. I sure wish I knew when cdnn was gonna put them on sale again for $9.99. I would like to purchase them in one shot and save on shipping.

@readysetgo - yep that's a Nikon ProStaff Rimfire 3-9 x 40 Black Matte Riflescope (BDC 150)

Love it! The glass is clear and the variable zoom is so awesome to have. The BDC is pretty good as well. I zeroed at 50 yards and have no issues using the BDC reticle to hit precisly at 100yards.

My LGS has them for like $20.00. I try and get one each time I visit. I think I have more mags than ammo at this point

795- best 22 on the market. You need 4 or 5 so you can mod the hell outta them.

I knew I should have bought another 795, now I regret it after the sale at Turners is over. I was there twice during the sale period and didn't buy one. Big 5 used to carry them and I bought mine for $149 there, perhaps they will get them back in stock again.
