I read that trying to put on aftermarket iron sights can be a trying experience. Something about the way the rifle is built doesn't allow regular AR15 same plane sights to line up correctly.

But then the ones it comes with are not the best quality either.

I have a 522. . haven't shot it yet either, heard so much good stuff about it.

I picked up a 522 Swat a couple years ago, bought a RDS for it but the iron sites have keep me from putting it on (there pretty sweet). Enjoy, your going to like it!!!!!

I got some samson 556 sights that line up a tad high, called samson and they said to cut the detent spring on the front sight post. Makes sense but havent had time to do the mod yet

I'm planning on the Samson quad rail. Would like to switch to an AR stock, but the DDLS stock adapter is on back order and I haven't heard of when they're gonna make more. Will a 556 stock adapter work on a 522?

there is no difference in the early 522 that did not ship with sights and the current ones. You can buy the now included sights here: http://www.topgunsupply.com/sig-saue...sight-set.html
and they work absolutely fine for a 22lr rifle.

Great rifle, had mine for a while now and it eats anything !! Mine came with a sig red dot you might want to check with sig cause I think they have a thing if you buy a 522 right now, but not sure if it's still available.

no hiccups is a good start.

Went to the range today and tried some fed bulk 525 pack. Spit em out no prob. Did have a mag issue. Now I know why a lot of guys recommend mags with the nylon feed lips. The mags with metal feed lips, the metal is a soft pot metal of some sort. It's not as smooth as the nylon feed lips, so the rear lip of the bullet casing gets hung up on it.

You need a nice case for it!

This is not mine, but I got a grey case from LaRue. A little pricy, but nice!
