Here's a good you tube video. I don't have my gun in front of me but I think the hammer has to be cocked when you put the bolt back in.

The holes do not line up exactly when everything is together right. What you describe sounds just the way it should be. The holes in the frame and receiver should look like they're straight in line when the receiver is pushed back where it should be. But the hole in the bolt LOOKS like it's not quite in, even when it is. Make sure the hammer goes ALL the way forward before inserting the stop pin. That means squeezing the trigger while pushing the back of the hammer with a pen. Put a drop of oil on the stop pin and jam it through. It takes some pretty good force, but you'll know it's in when the top nub of the pin pops above the receiver.Comment

^^^Someone should add that post to the 2245 cleaning faq. That piece is spring loaded and thats how i knew i need some force.Comment
