Whats the cheapest, quality small reddot for a 22?

I picked up a 22 plinker (Browning Buckmark) the other day and want to get a rail/Red dot optic just to screw around with. I was looking at the Burris Fast Fire or what ever but can't justify spending $350 on a optic I'm just looking to screw around with. Rather buy another 22/45 with that


I'm looking for a small, compact, light decent optic for a 22 just to unload on paper and steel for sh**s and gigs. Anyone have any suggestions to keep this on a budget?

The Burris FF3 is $226 at Amazon, and works great on my Ruger MIII and 22/45.

Thanks guys. I has a $25 tasco brick red dog but it weighs more than my Buckmark.

I want to keep it around $150 if possible. Giving a hard look at the FF2/3 but it's hard spending $250 on a sight for this range plunker. I'll give the TRS 25 a look. Little chunky but around what I want to spend.

Just going to be a paper puncher so it doesn't have to be "battle ready" "indestructible"

Bushnell First Strike is 1/2 the price of the FF3.
You lose a real on/off switch, 5 moa vs (3 or 8), light intensity setting, and battery can not be changed without removing the mount.

I am happy with mine, but I would go with the FF3.

Vortex sparc2 under $200 or even strikefire in a low mount for $125. Also look at current generation primary arms sights. Burris fastfire also great sight as mentioned before.

That was actually the first reddot I had in mind. I love the multiple reticles. But hate the bulk. At least for a pistol.

I saw that earlier this morning. Doe's that still require a pic mount or does it clamp to the existing Buckmark rail?

UTG makes a few. Most are rated for pellet gun use. But let's be honest, the vibrations caused by a pellet gun far surpass those caused by a 22. Anything that will work on a .22 pellet gun should work fine on a 22.

Below is a link to the one (newer version of my 3 year old UTG) that I have been using. It has held zero for well over 1800 rounds. Unfortunately, it doesn't get much use now, as I don't bother looking for .22LR anymore.

It's not really a red for but go for under $100 shipped.
