    Marlin M99/m60 failure to eject

I have a marlin m99 that is having ejection issues.

every other round stove pipes stuck between the round being loaded and the roof of the chamber, with the bullet end of the empty cartridge facing out.

I recently disassembled my m99 and my m60 cause both were having random fte's with the same symptoms.

one had a broken buffer, one had the spring (recoil spring I am guessing) all kinked up. I also noticed that one of the bolts had a loose ejector (left side very little tension).

so i took all the good parts and assembled them in one gun (good recoil spring, good buffer and good bolt) and took it out today to fire and had every other round stove pipe.

    any ideas? thanks in advance

Yeah, I figured or the issue I had put the 2 piece throat/loader from the m60 in the m99. Swapped those last night and put 50 rounds through it today, not a single hitch

I would say start with a good cleaning. Scrub the chamber properly & while your there, the barrel too. Use a brass/bronze brush & scrub the business edge of the extractor really well. Is it worn? Does the spring provide good tension? Make sure the action, including the bolt, charging handle & recoil spring operate smoothly. When they don't, they often slow down the action of the gun. Start with all that & if your extractor looks good, & you still have problems, try different ammo. Trying to help...Good luck.
