Older Buckmark, Good Deal Here?

Found an older buckmark for $300 on consignment. Looks like the one below. Comes with one mag. Felt nice, looked good. Didnt get a date or any info.

I couldnt figure out the reset but was in the process of a PPT of something else and wasnt paying much attention.

Does $300 sound good? Being Conisgnment I may offer $250 and see what they say.

New ones are $345 or so.
I don't think the old ones are any better than the new ones.
They're all great little shooters.

$300 would be a good deal if it wasn't on consignment. $300 + tax is a bit harder to swallow, I would try to get it for $250 however if I walked to a shop & they had it on consignment - I would walk out with it... even if I HAD to pay the $300 asking.


BTW does it come with anything... extra mags, a box of ammo... anything.

I bought one of those new around the time they came out - 1986 or so, as I recall. The one pictured looks exactly like mine and is the base model, the least expensive one offered. I think I paid $179 for it back then, plus tax and DROS.

Marvelous little pistol, and my daughter LOVES to shoot it. Accurate, reliable, well made, easy to shoot. Looking at completed auctions on GB, there are a ton of those NIB that are going unsold at about the $300 mark If that on strikes your fancy, I'd try to get it for $250 as you'll end up around $300 after tax and DROS anyway.

I think $300 asking price is a bit on the optimistic side, but not horrible if you want it.

I PPT'd a NIB Buckmark exactly as pictured last year for $300.

Thanks guys. I scanned Gunbroker too and saw new for $350 so with tax and dealer transfer thats like $450.

I really want a 22lr for steel matches this summer, maybe I'll ask $200 and see what the say.

If you do an advanced search you'll see that most go unsold if they are priced over $300. you might want to ping a LGS and see what it would cost to order a NIB one..... just be aware that there are a zillion different "trim packages" for the Buckmark.

Buckmarks are nice pistols, I have a few....very accurate and fun lil plinkers.....
If you value the contents of your wallet, do NOT do a google search for any Tactical Solutions upgrades (I did that and have the value of another entire gun, in upgrade parts)...it really nice tho
