    First 10/22 purchase!!

DROS'd my first 10/22 today and I'm stoked!!! Caved in and got the Stainless that was on sale at Big5, also picked up an extra box mag while i was at it. Heading to Reno in 2 weeks to visit family and do a little Desert shooting just in time!!!

Gonna keep it simple, just a few more mags and that's about it.

        Congrats!
Just pick up the clear mags, they just look cooler.

        In stock form is good.
The only must mod/replacement is the auto bolt release.

Get ready to swipe your cc. LOL Nice parts get expensive, I just dropped $460 into my daughter's 10/22. My 10/22 set me back $250 to make it a nice LTR.

You'll at least need a new extractor. Volquartsen trigger kit should be done too

Agreed on the new extractor. I used to have jams every so often until I replaced it. Although I bought mine new about 7 years ago, they may have improved it by now. The extractor replacement wasn't too difficult to DIY. Congratulations the 10/22 is a just plain fun to shoot and even funner to modify. Legally of course!

If your having issues, replace the extractor, if not , leave it alone. I replaced the extractor on my 10/22 based solely on advise. Waste of $11 in my case.

Welcome to the addiction! My 10/22's seem to multiply in the safe.

Not sure what your plans are for it but I'd recommend Tech Sights and the auto bolt release mod.

                      Enjoy!

Don't buy mods immediately. I'd recommend you to first shoot it and then improve what you feel needs improving.

Clean it, run plenty of ammo thru it, clean and if you still get jams, replace with Volq extractor.
