    CZ 452 lr American 1999 QUESTION ????

I recently looked at a CZ 22 lr American that appeared in excellent condition. Also, saw the box, target, and instruction booklet. To me, it certainly looked like it was a CZ rifle. I checked the serial number with CZ-USA and was told that the gun was manufactured in 1999.

Do you guys no of any issues with such a gun? A guy on another forum said it was a "fake". Many thanks

The 452 was superseded by the 455, which is able to interchange barrels, where the 452 is not. It is a great shooting rifle. If you want to learn more about it, Rim Fire Central has a dedicated CZ forum.

I say that you just ignore it... and tell me where it is.

seriously they are great little rifles and still sought after, the 453 & 455 though more features were added the overall quality dropped, like many newer thing these days IMHO

The mfg date is stamped on the barrel and also the receiver. The 452 American is an excellent firearm. I have three, two have the 20 in. barrel and the other has the threaded 16 in. barrel. Two of them are real shooters, the other is NIB, stored for later.

A Cz rifle will spoil you for anything else in the price range.

There is a CZ fake. It is/was made in China I believe. But you have a SN authenticated by CZ, you are all set.
