WTB trigger job for the money?

What's up guys John here, I just got a ruger 10/22 and wanted to get the trigger pull down, is it better to buy as a whole or get a rebuild kit?

Volquartsen.com has kits and an entire trigger set.

Like Robg said,or look at KIDD.I have used both with great success.

I used the KIDD parts only.
I have used the VC parts only as well as the complete.$200 is a lot of money for a complete.VC parts are around $100.KIDD should be a little less.
Many companies offer great service.I have used Clark, as a example. You will have to look around.
There used to be a guy on here people referenced.I do not know him.
Get on the Ruger website, and you will be filled with info.

So just spend the money and get the whole thing rather than get a trigger job done?

whats your budget? whats your intended use of your 10/22? Answer those two questions, then go from there. The two 10/22's in my safe are for plinking and target shooting, one has a Brimstone tier 2 job & Kidd barrel(on the way) and the other has a VQ hammer kit & stock barrel. They have a different feel from each other but I love them both and I cant say I prefer one over the other. As I dont compete professionally there is no way I could spend $100+ on trigger work or a trigger group.
Brimstone also did a trigger group on my Mini 14, well worth the $35.

Installed the VQ hammer for about $35 and it made a big difference. Brought the trigger pull down to about 3.5 lbs. I use my 10/22 just for range/plinking so didn't think I needed to spend the big $ on the nice drop in kits.

So really all I need is a hammer if all I'm doing is plinking and target

Another +1 for Brimstone. He did two basic (Tier 3) trigger jobs for me, one on an old 1980s 10/22 and another on a new Takedown. Both came out perfect. Amazing what a difference it makes, and you can't beat the $35 cost.

If you are mechanically inclined and like to do it yourself then try some quality parts -

Lots of options with parts/kits and complete units. Or as others have suggested you can send it out.

                        Cheers

Ive had them all. Kidd hands down. If you are even slightly mechanically inclined get the Kidd upgrade kit. They are less than $100 and you are just a youtube video away from the best trigger you can get for a single benjamin.
