Brought home my first Rimfire

I finally had time to pick up my 10/22 takedown at the Victorville in turners. I really like it. Can anyone recommend a better front sight? Like a fiber optic sight ? Also the mags , I've seen some 10 rounders by American eagle I believe ? They're shorter ..I like the way they look ..anyone have any experience with those mags ? Here she is ....it was about time I bought a 10/22 ...only took me about 6 years of gun ownership

If you like the slightly extended magazine look / controll then Butler Creek Steel Lips 10rd would probably suit you.

Perfect sights ! Thanks man ! I learned to shot with iron sights so black on back wasn't an issue . But for a fun gun I want faster on target time. Those butler creeks will be on order soon .

I understand that , that's why all spare mags for my P89 are Ruger brand. I'm not a big fan of the lack of real estate on the bottom of the mag. That's why I'm looking for something else. How I wish we didn't have mag restrictions ...I would have a dozen BX-25s

I would recommend the Williams Firesight with the rear peep sight instead. Gives you longer sight radius, faster, and more accurate. Not sure why you would want more 'real estate' on a magazine holding 10 rounds over a flush fitting 10rd mag.

Glad I could help, my Fiancee has Williams Fire Sights on her 795 and once they get here, soon to be on her 22/45. So we are a fan of Williams.

To others saying why get the extended mags, its a matter of preference. Obviously some people like them since they make them. IMO the steel lips will serve you better then a lot of the plastic lip ones that other brands make so thats why I suggested them.
