    Part identification

Cleaning my 10/22 and I'm use to pins falling out of it, like buffer pin etc. Well last might it fell out along with another trigger pin but when I looked down on rug I found this.

My rifle went back together and function checked ok but does it belong to a 10/22 or does it belong to another gun. The gun cleaned before last night was a 22/45 but it's not familiar to me.

Thanks RTE!!! Does that push on the magazine, looks like it to me. And that would explain why the magazine did not fall out of gun like before hand.

no the keeper is for the spring in the magazine and sits in the bottom plate.
Don't know if it has anything to do with the mag drop...would have to get mine out and look, but I wouldn't think so.
Without knowing the size of your part...that was the best I could come up with.

That does not appear to belong to a Ruger 10/22.

Thanks for the confirmation; we are leaning towards 22/45.
