For those that are interested, I picked up my 50th 10/22 today, and here's some unboxing pics.
Initial impression: Very cool 10/22! It feels light, yet solid. Zero flex or rattle. The stock is very easy to shoulder, and the iron sights are easy to pick up. Trigger is broad and grooved, The picatinny rail seems robust, too (we'll see, since the standard scope rail that is usually included leaves something to be desired!). Overall fit and finish is excellent. Being a 10/22, I'm sure it'll perform fine at the range.

For a minute there I thought they included a rip-off of the NoDak Spud sights, but no, those don't look as adjustable as the NoDak sights.

That's what I thought also at first. I was an early adopter of the NoDaks on 2 LTRs....
I'd still buy and recommend the 50th though if its under $350., looks like a good out of the box LTR just add sling.(quote)"Glocks blow up, SIGs have a high bore axis, Beretta locking blocks break, Ruger is anti-gun, 1911s are unreliable, and HK hates you. Get over it."Comment

Yeah, nice out of the box LTR for sure, just needs the $12 GI sling. I would definitely snap one up if I didn't already have a pair of LTRs. This 50th special edition is quite nice... not as nice as mine, IMO, but quite nice nonetheless. The only thing that I'm really drooling over is the adjustable comb height on the stock, but I don't think I can justify purchasing another 10/22 just for that.
Your 10/22s are sweet! I see we have very similar tastes, LOL. I think if I swapped the stock on my pair, you'd have to look mighty close to tell ours apart!
I currently have a 10/22-RB Carbine (1103) and a K10/22-RB Carbine (1103). The black/stainless one has the NoDak spud sights, and the wood/blued one has the adjustable Tech Sights (TSR200). Added swivel studs for the straps. and my LTRs are ready to go.
(I've done some work inside, too, and had a Brimstone trigger job)

I took mine to the range today. There was no instructions on how to adjust the rear sights (shame on Ruger). The post by readysetgo is the instructions for the Ruger context winner rifle. I wasn't able to twist the aperture for elevation adjustment without loosening both windage set screws - so you loose your wind age adjustment when doing elev adjustments. I suggest doing the elevation adjustments first. The sights didn't impress me.... I was thinking they were tech sight when I ordered it. I was planning to use the steel sights when I bought it, but will likely scope it. I bought it with the intention of using it as an Appleseed loaner.
The mag release is very sticky. The mag doesn't drop when the release is pressed.... You have to pull it out. Maybe this will get better with a little wear?
I shot a 4-moa group off the bench at 25 yards after sight adjustments - not impressive, I have other 10-22's that shoot a 2-moa group.
The flash hider doesn't have a thread locker (permatex) and came loose at the range.
It's ok, but not impressive.Comment
