May 2014 Rimfire Match - results in post 20!

I think this has to be the easiest time I've had scoring a match in a while - everyone must have been as busy this last month as I was!

    15 yd pistol offhand - shakyshoot with a 96
    25 yard pistol offhand - shakyshoot with a 72
    50 yard irons aperture sights - czrimfireplinker - 102

Looks like czrimfireplinker pinker is the overall winner for the 50 rds of ammo Mrrabbit was so generous to provide - congrats!

    Nice shooting to you both!

The following are the target classes:

Pistol: 15 yard and 25 yard . Offhand and bench rest are scored separately. Iron sights, red dot
or non-magnifed scope. There will be one winner each for 15 yd and 25 yd offhand and bench rest.

Rifle Open Irons: 25 yard, 50 yard and 100 yard open rear sights only. This class of shooting is
determined by the type of rear sight on the rifle. Open rear sight of the Buckhorn (notched) or
similar type only. Any type of front sight is allowed as long as there is no magnification.

Rifle Aperture Irons: 25 yard, 50 yard and 100 yard aperture sights only. This class of shooting
is determined by the type of rear sight on the rifle. This involves a rear sight consisting of a small
hole or "peep". Any type of front sight is allowed as long as there is no magnification.

Rifle Scoped: 50 yard and 100 yard fixed or variable scopes of your choice. Scope
minimum distance focus, parallax, zoom, "haze" and lighting among other things will drive your
    scope selection.

This is an online match. Print all targets at 100%. Colored targets may be printed in grayscale to
save on color ink. Shoot where and when you want. Annotate on the target the distance, type of
sights used, positions used for pistol and your score:

    Distance : Pistol : Benched : Score
    Distance : Pistol : Offhand : Score
Distance : Rifle : Open Irons : Score
Distance : Rifle : Aperture Irons : Score
    Distance : Rifle : Scope : Score

Take a picture of your target(s) and post in this thread for bragging rights! Match runs from the
first day of the month until the last day of the month. Shoot as many targets as you want and post
your best target for each class. Once you post a target for one particular class - no redos!

Note: If the shot is touching the line, it is scored on the higher number.

I encourage meeting up with other match shooters. Any rimfire firearm is eligible. Shooting from a
benchrest, prone, sitting, standing, hood of your car, leaning against a tree is acceptable.
Using a rest in which the rifle/pistol can be locked down is verboten (ie. can't do that).

    [Bonus Points]

This applies for targets that have multiple shots on one target. We shoot the targets as normal and
add up the scores like normal. The twist is we shoot for groups as well. For example, if we are
shooting 5 shots on each target if none of the 5 bullet holes are touching you get no bonus points.
If two are touching you get 2 bonus points. If three are touching you get 3 bonus points on up to
5 bonus points for each target.

Occasionally, specialized targets are posted that have their own bonus points schema. The
instructions for those particular targets are to be followed in those instances.

Please limit posts in the match thread to target posts, scoring guidance and kudos to other shooters.
These matches are based on “Gentlemen's / Ladie's Honor” so go shoot and have fun.

Note: If you really think someone scored a hit too low on a target - be generous - tell 'em!

edit to add that mrrabbit has extended the prize from last month to this month for the bonus target - this will go to winner of the BDT ace target - and to give more people the opportunity to shoot it, I've revised it to be shot at 25 yards instead of 50. I think it's still more than enough of a challenge at that distance. Thanks Mrrabbit! Prize is 1 x 50 ct Remington Eley Target.

Targets to follow in posts below.

      Targets

15 Yard Pistol: use 50 Yard Irons Rifle target. Shoot each bull 5 times; score accordingly.

25 Yard Pistol: use 100 Yard Irons Rifle target. Shoot 10 rounds; score accordingly.

25 Yard Rifle Iron Sights: use 25 yard Irons target. shoot 3 rounds per bull. Center white bull is 10, each additional ring marked; score accordingly.

50 Yard Rifle Iron Sights: use 50 yard Irons target, your choice green or red center, or grayscale. center bull is 10, each ring beyond is -1 accordingly. shoot 5 rounds each bull, score accordingly.

100 Yard Rifle Iron Sights: use 100 Yard Irons target - shoot 10 rounds; score accordingly.

50 Yard Scoped: use 50 Yard Scoped Target. Center white bull is 10, each additional ring marked accordingly. Shoot 3 rounds at each Bull; score accordingly.

100 Yard Scoped: Use 100 yard Scoped Target. Center white bull is 10, each additional ring is marked accordingly. shoot 5 rounds per bull; score accordingly.

      Bonus targets:

PRIZE TARGET: 25 Yard Scoped - use BDT Ace target. 5 shots per bull; shoot consecutively. rounds that touch black void all points on bull. bulls that have 5 rounds in them without touching black count as 5 points. goal is to get 5 or more consecutive bulls with 5 rounds scoring.

25 Yard Irons: use Cut the Rope Target. shoot 5 rounds max. if any rounds hit the "weight" holding the rope taut, the target is void. 1 point for each break in the rope acquired.

secondary bonus target - for fun only. 50 Yard Scoped target. use SH50YTRCTARGET target. I know some people frequent ranges that cannot shoot at silhouette targets, and won't be able to use this one. this is a 5 stage target. 1st stage is 1 round cold bore shot on bull. Stage 2 - shoot only 1 round at the chosen numbers - for this month the numbers are any number divisible by 5, 6, 8, or 9. stage 3 is 5 rounds at the bull - score according to the target. Stage 4 is a know your limits challenge - shoot 1 round per bull until you no longer feel comfortable - 1 miss loses all points in this stage. stage 5 - 1 round per terrorist. score according to target.

Well, I managed to leave my targets at home but found one in my range bag.

For the 50-yard irons, MrRabbit scored his as per the rules printed on the target which is different than the rules in the OP. No biggie, I scored it both ways. As per the scoring in the OP, 108. As per the scoring printed on the target, 127.

Is there a June match? Anybody know anything? I'm figuring to go to the range tomorrow, and I don't know what to shoot at.

One way or another we'll have a match up by morning. I actually have tomorrow off for my sons elementary school graduation so I get my first opportunity to go shoot in months tomorrow as well. I'll post May results tonight in this thread.
