    GSG 5 First Anaversery Issues

I have a GSG 5 I purchased in 2008 and have had many FTF FTE and also the ammo gets stuck in the barrel on wont extract. I have gone though everything and cant seem to figure out the problem. I would like to use it again but I dont take it to the range because of so many issues. Are there any gun smiths in Ventura County that I could take it too. I called the manufacture and just to look at it they want 110 dollars plus what ever needs to be repaid. Plus they dont make parts for it anymore.

It's a GSG, enuf said. I have 2 friends with them, they pick out stuck cartridges while I shoot away. In before how awesome they are.

I was young and dumb when I purchased it but would still like to be able to fire it some year.

As in cars and electronic devices, never a good idea to buy the first model year of anything in production. Let someone else at their expensive be a beta tester.

I used to own a gen I GSG5 and I remember reading somewhere that a rivet that holds the ejector plate works loose over time which causes all of the problems you are describing. People were sending them back to ATI for the repair last I heard. Google "GSG5 Ejector plate rivet"...that should get you started.

I finally had the time today to contact ATI, they sent me a diagram and asked what parts I needed. I basically selected everything but the housing for the parts. I also inquired about a new barrel and barrel breach. I pretty much want to rebuild everything and go from there.
