    lengthening Boyd's stock on 10/22

I shortened a Boyd's rimfire thumbhole stock (10/22) for a shorter length of pull but I made it a little too short - around 1/2" too much. Any suggestions on how to lengthen it a little? Maybe a spacer or different recoil pad?

Easiest would probably be a larger recoil pad. If you have the standard Boyd's recoil pad, it is 1/2"; put a 1" on and you'll get your 1/2" back.

You can make the thumbhole stock into a charger stock, that can be fun.

Little late for measure twice, cut once.

If you got a piece of ebony (or similar) it should function well as both a spacer and as an aesthetic piece. Otherwise re-use the cut piece - attach with wood dowels and glue, after the glue hardens use a file to fix the transition. Easiest would be to find a longer recoil pad as has been previously stated.
