All you had to do was ask.

Anyway, any time you have a blowback system where the bolt face strikes the breech face and relies on a spring to bring the bolt back into battery, you're going to have bounce. The bolt in my 10/22 bounces as well, and if you're suggesting that it creates a malfunction, you're not giving the engineers at Ruger enough credit. Oversight? Nope, not at all.

Yes, 3-4 times at 1,000 frames per second in the GIF, but there was no ignition during that occurrence. Think about what you just said, or at minimum, go pull your bolt out of battery that far and pull the trigger. Again, the trigger will completely disengage from the sear. You have a bit of leeway, but the hammer will not disengage during the first bounce depicted in the GIF. Possibly in the second, which is in battery for most MK pistols.

Sorry that doesn't make sense, but do you own a MK pistol?

    Wait, which is it, LOL?

And made to run without a malfunction occurring when the bolt strikes the breech face and bounces.
Yes, I do own a mk pistol. Are you the one that doesn't understand that just because the hammer is released while the bolt is forward, that it doesn't instantly travel to the back of the bolt to hit the firing pin? You're telling me that the hammer can't drop with the bolt to the rear, but you want to insist that the hammer can't drop with the bolt in battery before the first bounce... that makes no sense. I'm not talking about the hammer dropping without the bolt in battery.

"which is it", I don't know, you tell me. Are the 4th and 5th images from the OP not visible to you or something?

Guns get dirty, that doesn't mean they run optimally while spotless, they DO need to be able to run after they get a little dirty, since normal people aren't stripping and cleaning the things between shots.

This is interesting topic, but wouldnt this happen to most semi auto rifle/pistol/shotguns ?

Blowback types. Those are mostly .22 & .380.

Maybe Jerry Miculek could get the hammer to drop while the bolt was bouncing but I would consider it unlikely.
