Thinking of buying a "B Mag" Savage. Anyone shooting this round? How is it accuracy wise? I've read all the reports. Just looking for first person feedback. Thanks, c good

My brother in law has one. We have had it out twice. The round is devastating. The B-mag, not so much. His is currently back at Savage and he just learned that they are going to replace it. The fired rounds would not eject.
I have read some great reviews on the new stainless-heavy barrel from Savage. You might want to locate one of those.
Good luck -
Check it out here. Be warned before you buy, It does have issues!

I would like to be shooting this round. But I'm going to wait until CZ or Ruger or Annie comes out with a barrel for it. I just can't buy one of those Savage B's.Comment

I had one... keyword being had. I got caught up in the hype. Bought one new & put a 4.5 - 14 Nikon on it. Was hoping it would be a tackdriver. Best group I got at 50 yds was 3/4" with 20 gr & about 1" with the 25 gr. Of course any gun can differ but the one I tried was a turd. I'm waiting for Browning or ruger to come out with one.Comment

Friend of mine got a Savage back in Dec. He just came back from a squirrel shoot (400+ kills). He absolutely loves his Savage. The local gun shop has one of the new stainless bull barrel models for $389.00.
I'm waiting for the Winchester 1885 single shot and a CZ. I read somewhere CZ was working on one.Comment
