Ruger SR22 Pricing @ Gun Shop

I feel like I'm making new threads left and right... But too bad, I have lots of questions!

What would you guys say is a fair price to pay to get a Ruger SR22 (price out the door, including SSE) from my local gun shop? I'm going in to pick up my first gun (Glock 19) on Saturday and when I was last in, they had the SR22 available. I've shot it before and really liked it, but I'm not sure if I should go new or used in this case.

Retail of the gun on Cabelas is $360...

    I wouldn't pay over $450-500 total for a SR22 these days.

Another option is you could get a Advantage Arms .22 lr conversion slide for your Glock 19. PKFirearms often has them in stock.

I just paid 289 online and had a local dealer do an SSE to it for an additional $125 which covers dros, sse fee, and sales tax. It will be out of jail in a few days.

$289 is a very good deal. If you don't mind my asking, which site did you make your purchase from.

I bought my wifes about 4 months into production locally. Probably overpaid at around 380.00 out the door. But I took it home 5 minutes after buying it. No shipping, no transfer fees, no ridiculous crap you have to put up with out there.

Seems not long after that I was able to find them for around 320.00 locally. Live and Learn I guess. That was indecently the only Brand New Firearm I ever bought in my life I think..

              Vagabond,

I think you got a good deal. Where is your FFL? Nor Cal or SoCal or somewhere else?

I ended up getting the SR22 at the same shop I bought my Glock, I guess they're the only ones in my area that can SSE it... They charge MSRP and no SSE fee, so it was $399 +DROS and tax, it was around $450 out the door. Pretty close to the $289 +$125 which makes me feel good about my purchase

After reading up on this SSE business, I can only assume that I could not legally buy a CZ 75 SP-01 with a 19 round mag, in California. Is that right?

You could get the SP-01 but not the 19 round magazine.

Nothing in CA has a 19 round mag these days!
