Thanks, spac ..... just got 4 from Classic City. With shipping comes to $110 - not bad. The scarcity of these things is somewhat surprising, at least to me. But I have not been buying handguns for a while. I know that Walther makes them. At some point I expect these mags will be routinely available - as will the 22LR to put in them .....

Received my 10-rounders last week - when I went to disassemble them tonight to clean off the grease, they could not be disassembled. Floorplate would not move forward under any amount of force, with retainer button pushed in.

As the title of this thread is generally appropriate, thought I'd post this here.

Anyone else had any trouble moving the floorplate off the 10-rounders to disassemble? The mag that came with the gun was easy to disassemble, per the instructions. These new ones seem normal otherwise, but those floorplates feel permanently attached to the mag bodies (they don't budge a micron under considerable pressure).

I've contacted S&W about the issue, but was curious if others had any direct experience with this problem.

FYI folks for does who are getting the mag I just read the above post and investigated the mags I received. They are indeed glued to the floor plate. Check up this pic from one of the mag I just took apart

Not sure why you would go that route when 44Mag has 100+ @ $29 with $5 shipping, but to each his own.
