.22 Scope Question

I have a Marlin Model 60 .22 cal, that currently has a typical .22 scope on it:

(Bushnell 4X Custom .22)

Now I want to put a different scope on it:
(it's the one on top of the photo)

Simmons 4X32 22 Mag (that's what it says on the scope)
Pic's are not the best, hope they're good enough.

Here's my question:
Can I just take off the Bushnell scope off and put on Simmons scope?

YES, but make sure your new rings work with the top of your receiver. 3/8" dovetail mount rings.

Looks like the ring mounts on your Simmons are for a Weaver/ Picatinny rail

I have the same scope on my Marlin XT-22 and it works. My buddy has the same scope on his Marlin 795.

Weaver makes scope rings specifically for mounting on the top rail of .22's.

I bought the same scope because it has the quick twist focus and mounted it on a Winchester 190.

You do have to tighten the rings very tight on that very small dovetail.

My scope managed to walk forward during firing due to the bolt cycling.

I bought the rings at Turners when I bought the scope. I think you can find them for less, about $55, but I was in a hurry.

Now that I have looked at my scope it appears that you already have the correct rings.

If so it should clamp right on to the top rail.
