    charging bolt stuck ruger 10/22

I was reassembling the gun when the bolt snapped back. Didnt break, but now it seems the spring is locked. Any suggestions?

If the bolt is locked to the rear and the stop pin was out, the bolt has moved too far to the rear, the front edge of the bolt has dropped down below the guide rail.
Just push the bolt upwards at the front and it should go forward again.

If the bolt is stuck forward, most likely the ejector is not in correctly.

Remove the trigger group to check and fix both of these.

^ Now, now...let's all be patient and kind.

RFC has a lot of info but separating the wheat from the chaff can be challenging.
