no thumbhole stock for me i guess... couldn't be beat at 99 bucks though...... wish i could order it...

It would cost a little more but have it shipped to someone and have it shipped to you from them. I would do it for you...I live in the next State over from them. Of course you would add another shipping charge but what do you do I guess.. I just bought one for our Model 60 awhile back. Really nice stocks.

They are a little heavy but I love that. Gives the whole rifle a "real" feel to it..

As long as there are no restrictions to CA otherwise I would do the "transfer" for you.They had em for 80.00 a while back..Of course that was right after I bought mine..AAARGH...Goodluck

Its a shame a good company like Boyds has FUD towards CA.

I got a thumb hole from them just a few months ago. I'm not sure what got up there butt about this all of sudden.

I bet it is a thumbhole stock for a non-bolt action. I have a thumbhole for a bolt action rifle coming from them. Once I move to Colorado in a few months I'd be happy to order them and reship.

Yeah but others have said that Boyds wasn't shipping the thumb hole for Mosin's either.

Hmm, I have a Savage 111 Trophy Hunter XP thumbhole stock on order, to match my Mark II BTV which comes with it already. All legal, and their web site didn't kick me out. Order has been in for about a week, but I have customizations so it'll take a while to make it. Pachmyer recoil pad and laser etched initials. I imagine I would have heard something already if they were rejecting.

Boyd's did the same to me effective Jan1. When I contacted them, they informed me that it was on legal advice but they really didn't sound very sure of their stand.
I suggested rather than me and everyone else in CA intersted in a like product shopping elsewhere that they simply shop for competent legal advice.
I got the impression they hadn't slammed the door on this.

I ordered 2 a month or so ago. One for a 10/22 and one for a savage bolt action. They cancelled the 10/22 stock. I've been told if you go to a gun shop they can order it for you. Not sure if it's truth or myth.

That may be the case however the LGS is mostly likely getting them from a second or third party! There are plenty of vendors out there who understand the law changes and will do business here but every time the stock passes through hands it collects price increases.

If you can wait a few weeks, there's going to be another source for 10/22 thumbhole stocks, and he has no problem shipping to Calif. They won't be cookie cutter Boyds stocks either, you can pick laminate or solid wood.

Setting up tooling for a new template takes some time, and he had to finish up some "emergency" projects first. He "should be" cutting mine now.
He'll have prices after he finishes mine. I'll start a new thread with the pics, and prices.
