    Ruger 10/22 TD 50th Anniversary!

So, I've been on a hunt to pick up a 10/22 Takedown since I went to an Appleseed a few weeks ago. I brought my Marlin 795 at the time but I felt more comfortable with the 10/22 that I used as a loaner when my Marlin started jamming (no idea why).

Anyway, I found one on the wall at a LGS and figured I'd go ahead and buy it, but I didn't even realize until I was already doing the paperwork that it had some special markings! Marking the 50th anniversary of the 10/22 rifle, Ruger appears to be adding some special engravings to this model. Here are some bad phone pics, but you get the idea.

Ignore the Glock on the bed- I picked up a new holster for my G30SF while I was in the shop too so I was trying it out.

How's the rear sight? That looks a little different than the winner of the 50th anniversary contest...

Nice find!!! I also ran into the 10/22 50th Anniversary Stainless Target model (22" barrel) today at my LGS.

Bought it for 290$. Came home with it and "accessorized" it rather quickly...

Next Ima gonna have it threaded for my suppressor! My LGS charges around 125$ to do it.

Lazyme- it appears to be the standard rear blade sight that comes on most 10/22s that I've seen. Was there a contest involved in the design?

DTom75- Looks good! How do you like the SS Evolution stock? I overpaid a bit for mine at $399 before tax/DROS but I didn't feel too bad with it being a special edition and the Takedown model.

There was a contest and the winner got the first rifle off the line and got to watch it be made, among a few other goodies.

THX! LOVE the stock! That price for your takedown isn't bad. I don't know what a "regular" priced one goes for. MSRP $349? With my lam stock, mine ended up pretty pricey, about the same as yours, 420$'s and when I get my scope, gonna add prolly another 300$'s. I don't pay DROS here in AZ....

Nice 10/22's! Saturday I jailed a 50th also & it's my first colored firearm... Navy Blue Digital Camo in Stainless Steel. Ordered Tech sights & machine/wood swivel studs last night. I'm sending trigg group to Brimstone when I get possession.

That sounds like a smoking deal.

The 50th anniversary model like was promised by Ruger following following the contest noted above, is on my must have list. The one pictured is real nice but doesn't have the goodies that won the contest for the 50th anniversary model. This makes me wonder if Ruger is going to sell a 10/22 like the one that won the contest (and the one I voted for in the contest) - I hope so

They will be, I saw it at SHOT and spoke to Ruger about it. They said late spring was when they anticipated beginning production. They were still finalizing the design as they were deciding between a blued or a matte stainless flash hider. All 10/22's made this year will have the special markings.

Nice! I have a 50th Anniversary Take down in jail right now too. Can't wait to pick her up.
