    Remington 572

Anyone have experience with this little pump? Likes and dislikes?

A buddy has an old beat up pre '68 Remington 572 fieldmaster in the safe with some action problems. I'm thinking about buying it from him and fixing it but I'm a little worried that if I buy it I'll get it open and it will be fubar. Is it worth the risk?

    remington 572

I have had on for many years and it is always one of my favorites, maybe not worth a ton, but accurate and fun and it shoots shorts, long and long rifle without a hiccup. For the right price it is worth fixing.

Is 100 bucks +ppt worth it?

Part of me wants my first registered long gun to be a pre 68 "No S/N" gun

I have a Remington 572, circa 1976. Love the gun! New ones, yes Remington still makes them, are around 600$.

So you tell me if they are worth it? I got mine used for 100$ from a dude only because he was really hard up for money.

Oh, it also came with the scope that was on it.

My first rifle was a Remington 572. I went through a brick (500) .22 LR a week for a couple of years. Unfortunately, I sold it. When I sold it the action was loose and could not be tightened up. Even though my rifle was worn, I wish I still had it.

Owned my 572 since 1981. Accurate, fun to shoot, easy to maintain/clean. Don't think you would regret buying it for that price.
