    This is depressing

I bought a box of this a couple of years ago at Big 5 for $18. I wish I bought more, a lot more.

Cabelas has them for about $30. There is a thread on it at the Deals section.

Don't be depressed that is a rip off price.

Cabelas has been getting lots of Blazers in lately.

I met a guy two years ago that told me every time he went to town/ big 5 he bought whatever brick was on sale. I never thought 22lr would have gotten so scarce.

but now I know and knowing is half the battle.

I always bought every time it was on sale, that's why I still have about 8K in stock. I haven't been hoarding either, we shoot 500 or so every time we go shooting. That's some price on the Blazers, I bought a case last time it was on sale for $159 shipped from Dunn's. Wished I had bought 10 now.

                      They're all rip off prices!

My first 50ct Premium LR rimfire rounds was $.95, in the middle of the last century and stayed that way or less for 50yrs +.

In 2000 that same 50ct was even less@ $81.4 via a bulk pak

In 2005 that same 50ct was MORE THAN DOUBLE@ $1.81 via a bulk pak
                      WHY?

Legitimate vendors are at 30.00+ / brick?
Illegitimate opportunists are at whatever the traffic will bear! $80.00

Merged manufacturers, fewer vendors a desperate/paniced consumer = instant and perhaps permanent pain!

It's all BS and manipulation folks!

+1 With a little time and effort I am able to get on average 1,500 rounds of reasonably priced .22 lr a week, and it adds up.

Just keep it flowing in and pretty soon you won't be worrying about having enough to shoot.

Yep, crooks and fools meet at those prices..Takes both but it does happen.

I have never and will never pay more than retail price for ammo..I would stop shooting before I paid 100.00 for a Brick of .22, or anywhere over 30.00 for that fact....I may pay over 30.00 someday. But that is not the current pricing for a brick is right at 25.00. Thats what I will pay. Pick up .22 ammo all the time at Walmart and I do not camp out everyday either..

I have some older .22 and you would be amazed at what I paid for it. But 5.00 also got ya 5 or 6 gallons of gasoline back then too..
