    Spot anodize a 10/22 rec?

I had a dremil the inside of the mag feed area where an older 10-22 got chewed up from the steel bolt on the mag. Is there a way to spot anodize that area or should I just leave it?

I am not positive, but I believe it's just painted from the factory. There's a sticky about repainting, above.

I'd either re anodize the whole thing or touch it up with a sharpie and forget it.

Luckily, this is the Internet, and an expert will be along soon who knows everything.

Factory receivers are painted, not anodized.

Birchwood Casey makes a black touch up pen for aluminum. Touch it up and buff with 0000 steel wool to blend.

              BC pens are completely useless.
