    22 ammo hogs

Have you guys noticed all of the ammo hoarders trying to unload their stashes lately? they place a bunch of ammo every few days or so, some are even stating Things like here is my personal stash or I have a few boxes yet after they are sold they have a few more then a few more. LOL no matter how much you think you need ammo Please don't buy from them, They are the reason!

Bought only 3 boxes of fifty rounds from Walmart last year, still got almost 10 thousand rounds left over from my stash I was able to accumulate before the panic.

I have seen lots of the ammo that has been in stock at Cabelas lately show up on WTS boards for about a $15 profit a box.

However, I am a 22 hog, I save it for me and my family to shoot. Specially since eveyone in the family our new shooters. I have stopped buying off Cabelas since I have a good stockpile , hoping it would help someone else who really needs it. It is discouraging to see the ammo sold over price by so much. Probably would have been better for me to buy than sell for $5 bucks over what I paid.

I hoard ammo. Hows that compare to hogging?

Who cares? If you need the ammo and don't have the time to search for it, you buy it from the flippers. Keep in mind, the flippers are NOT causing the high prices. They do not take inventory out of marketplace since they resell it. The hoarders are driving up the prices because the ammo isn't redistributed.

I love it when people on the .22 ammo thread righteously berate the flippers and then their next sentence say "I have 25k rounds, but it's my personal stash and I'd never sell it."

That...my friends...is what is making ammo scarce and driving up the price. Not the flippers.

I have bought more ammo than most of the bozos here, and I've never sold a box. I've given it to friends and family, and plan on shooting every last round.

I agree, people who buy ammo with the sole purpose of reselling it are a big part of the problem. Eventually even "hoarders" get to a point they are happy with their ammo collection, I personally haven't bought any for a while just waiting for my Midway backorders to ship.

I bought my ammo from any sources as long as the price is right, don't really care from hoarders or no

The post is about poking fun at them for trying to recoup their money, that's it.

Being PREPARED is NOT hoarding---I've bought 22 ammo before the current panics (at a much lower price) and shoot whenever I want...

yeah but whats one more thread, lol. for some reason this thread made me think about when we could still but 22 ammo freely in stores. dicks sporting goods opened a new store here in salinas on the 25th of october, 2012/ just less than 16 mnths ago.i walked in on grand opening and bought 10 boxes of remington 525 round boxes of golden bulletts and the next day decided i needed more so i bought 8 more boxes. i paid $19.48 per box out the door and got a lot of points towards store credit. i think 3 months earl;ier i walked into cabelas at reno and bought 4 boxes of winchester 555 round boxes of 22 for i think 13 bucks a box out the door on one of their instore only saturday specials. and now its a job to find 22 to buy unless you want to pay a arm and a leg. and i have been a walmart early morning regular since march and i think its gonna get worse again when they reintroduce the ammo tax bill here this month. sure wish i had gotten alot more of the cheaper 22 as i let over half of the stuff from dicks go to friends and gave a couple bricks to my daughter
