    Olympic Biathalon Rifle

Yep, an Ansshutz Olympic .22. They are so cool and I want one. But....$4000! May have to wait a while. And I tink the closest dealer is in Montana. Oh well....we all have dreams.
This year will go down in history.... Don't want to offend anybody

Try finding an izhmash 7-2 basic I love mine and it shoots single holes at 50 yards. I have also heard good this from the pws t3 issc is also coming out with a straight pull. Toggle bolts are a blast

I have an Anschutz with the Fortner (straight pull) action. I debated for about 5 years on whether or not to pick it up because it is expensive. I wish I didn't wait so long even though I know I'll never compete.

It is extremely accurate and the action is super smooth. . This is the 1827F Sprint Biathlon model. Once I picked one up, my friend shot and handled it and decided to be a "Copycat." Lol. The biathlon rear sight has a snow cover that flips down. Both of these don't have that rear sight and are the target versions with anti-glare tubes.

There's a company based in Mammoth Lakes, CA that specializes in setting up Savage MkII's into biathalon rifles:

Or if you really want a toggle action and can't find a Izhmash rifle: Primary Weapons makes a toggle action receiver that takes 10/22 stocks/barrels/magazines.

              Yup, I want...

Would love to have one ...the idea of cross country skiing and target shooting is awesome. Until then, I may just tear the shoulder straps from my camel back and duct tape it to my marlin 795...try it out while taking some snowboarding runs

Isn't that sport based on some guy trying to shoot a bear with a .22 and then having to flee on his ski's as fast as possible?

                  Lol!

Actually I think it was based off the military in Norway or something like that, since they had to patrol the slopes and be able to shoot/defend

There is a novice & kids race this Sunday (2/16). No experience necessary in case some of you got the bug to try it out yourself.

Here's one for anyone that's looking (not mine):

Located in VA. Brand new in box....never fired. Two 10rd magazines. This is a unique Russian made biathlon style toggle bolt rifle with hammer forged barrel. Radical target crown....VERY accurate by all accounts. $ 650 (going rate on GB)

I've got a brick of CCI 30GR V-MAX and three boxes of Hornady 30GR V-Max (650rds total) that I can include for another $260.

Those WMR were sold for $299 on centerfire systems a few months back: ARCHIVE Just so folks here know how much GB sellers are making.
                              Those pics are huge btw.
