    HK MP5A5 .22LR

I grabbed one of these on sale at Big 5 a couple weeks ago and took it to the range yesterday for the first time. I primarily bought it to start teaching our grandson, but I wanted some alone time with it first.

My oh my is this thing fun to shoot! I put a 2 MOA Aimpoint CompM on it that I had lying around in the back of the safe. I bought 3 extra mags and a couple of mag clamps from hkparts.net. You can't help but smile doing multiple mag-dumps on steel at 50 yards.

The build-quality is outstanding. Zero failures to feed, fire or extract in the few hundred rounds I shot. The only oddness I encountered is that it does seem to have a little bit of a tough time extracting live rounds when manually cycling the bolt.

I can't wait to go pick up my grandson soon for some range-time fun!

I was going to pick up one of thses rifles at my local Big 5 as well. I just didn't have my credit card with me at the time, so I came back later to buy it and it was gone. I was totally bummed, but I did see a Baretta jammed behind the sig clone an bought that instead. Waiting to buy an HK when they get them back in stock.

Thanks for sharing. My kids and I love the baretta. But there's nothing like the feeling of an MP5.

im going to try to put an airsoft mp5 clamp for optics. i think it should fit.

also an airsoft mag clamp and skeleton butt stock.

dont want to pay $99 for one.
