    Brno Mod. 1

This comes from my father's collection. I know very little about it, however I was told many years ago that when he bought it it had been stored in cosmoline for many years and had never been shot. This was at least 20 years ago. Sling is not original of course.

That is a beaut! I wish mine looked like that, it's all pitted up and in need of restoration. That is an heirloom, pass it down type of rifle, and a great shooter too.

Thanks Lads. I wish I had some back story on it. My dad passed away years ago and the gun shop that sold it has long since closed. Its a great shooter and looks beautiful though. Sleek and simple straight forward design.

That's the nicest #1 I've ever seen, and quite valuable. Mine shot so well that I mounted it in a target stock and it shot even better.

Outstanding rifle... there are a number of very knowledgeable Brno people on rimfirecentral.

                Cheers,

This thread?? Where's the link? That's funny.
Edit: Found the thread. I don't think I'll join yet another forum, however you can relay the info that I don't know much about this rifle. I can take more pictures is anybody were to ask. The story that I was told was that this particular rifle was part of a cache that had been stored in cosmoline since new or nearly new and tucked away and forgotten about. They may have been an import or something, but I guess they were just sitting around forever. I haven't replaced anything on the rifle or touched the stock in any way. If it's of interest, of course I can take more pictures, however I have no intention of selling it or modifying it.
