I paid $7.77 for them at kmart before they went out of business here about 10years ago.

It looks like Manufacturers are getting ahead with the Centerfire stuff so they will now aggressively work on getting .22 out more..

Though I personally have never had a shortage, it appears others have..

I believe things will loosen up quite a bit as far as .22 ammo soon. It is only about half as bad as it was even two months ago.

As we near the midterm elections this fall, there possibly could be a another panic depending on what the Political field looks like a month or so before the midterm election..

What we need is a mutual list of the companies who've done us wrong during this shortage by increasing their prices 10 fold, and make sure when this shortage is over, we stock up from the ones who've treated us good.

I've got a small list going of places I'll never shop from again.
There seems to be ones I'm adding daily.

In fact, wife bought me something from CTD for Christmas. I loved it, but I had to do some gentle educating on where not to shop next holiday

Problem is the list of ones that did not screw people is pretty short.

I have never seen any .22 ammo in this particular local Pawn/Gun Shop. But he told me they did not scalp ammo and hopes people will remember that.
