    10/22 addiction! Is it possible?

I'm relatively new to firearms. Started a year ago with 9mm. Then a 12 gauge. Then an AR-15. I thought the AR was the really cool. Enjoyed firing it each time at the range.

Problem is however, today I shot my Ruger Takedown for the first time and never put it down. I came prepared with a couple hundred rounds for the 5.56 questioning if that would be enough. I fired only 20 rounds. And now I regret it because now I have to clean it.

I'm already thinking about about another 22. Any suggestions?

I have an addictive personality. Smoked Gouda is one I've dealt with for years. Can 22's become problem?

I shoot a lot of calibers, but nothing puts a smile on my face like shooting .22's.

Get yourself a nice .22 target pistol, anything really accurate. Ruger MKIII, Browning Buckmark, Ruger Single Six. There are several options but those are all in a reasonable price range and super accurate.

Get a lever action. I have a Browning BL-22. It has iron sights and a 33-degree throw. I can shoot it all day long. I think it's my favorite rifle. It's definitely the most fun rifle I own.

I agree with everyone here. Once you get your first .22 you'll want another and another and another....

Don't ask me how I know.

funny how 22's breed like rabbits .............

I'd suggest an AR platform 22 or a bolt action/ bench 22 for fine tuning your skills

I think I have more .22's than my other guns. But yea, wait till you shoot a Ruger Hunter model 6 7/8 in, or My Favorite , a High Standard model Military Supermatic 7 1/4 in. It has all the markings of a Lamburgini Countach! Oh wait a minute! dont forget to get a loan out to buy .22 ammo when yo can find it. It's a sign of the times.

+1 on the BL-22. It is a riot to shoot.

                        Hmmm, let's see...

                        22/45, check.

                        Marlin 795, yup.

                        Marlin XT-22, uh-huh.

                        15-22, yeah.

On the list: CZ, Buckmark &/or MkIII...

Yes, I'm going to say there is a slight possibility of addiction.

One of the nice things about the 10/22 is that you can build a half dozen different style rifles and they'll all take the same magazines.

                          Have at it.

I enjoy working on my 10/22's more than anything. I enjoy the challenge of getting them to perform nicely. I'm going to the range in a few minutes, gonna shoot some handgun, .45's been cold for a long time, lol. And my Raptor.
Yes I took the pic, no I didn't go swimming!
